4-game winning streak secures Waxahachie baseball playoff berth!

By Travis M. Smith/ECS

Four pitchers combined for an 11-3 road district victory Tuesday evening against Dallas Skyline. The victory improved the Indians to 15-12-2 on the season and 8-5 in District 11-6A.
The win — combined with Duncanville’s 3-2 loss to Mansfield Legacy — officially sealed Waxahachie into the district’s fourth seed. The Indians previously swept Mansfield Lake Ridge 4-3 and 4-2 this past week in what most would’ve considered an impressive upset.
Zach Pearrow earned the win for the Indians on Tuesday evening in Dallas. He struck out 6 Raiders, walking one and allowing just one hit over 3.0IP. Jayden Vinson (2IP, 3K), Kelley Jenkins (1IP) and Aiden Gallegos (1IP) also helped secure the victory on the bump for the Tribe.
Matthew Zmolik and Rendon Garcia each drove in a pair of runs, while Avery Dubose and Westin Herrell slugged an extra-base hit — both collecting a pair of hits on the evening
Waxahachie returns to action at 7 p.m. Friday for Senior Night at historic Paul Richards Park.
