Berry rushes for program-high 5 TDs in Life Waxahachie win against Ferris

Kordell Berry rushed for a school-record 5 touchdowns to power Life Waxahachie over Ferris in a non-district tilt.

Berry rushed 33 times for 336 yards, which is also a new program-best, in the 50-37 Mustang victory on Sept. 9. The junior also added three catches for 50 yards.

Life Waxahachie quarterback James Hicks (soph) completed 7-of-his-11 passes for 140 yards and pair of touchdowns to Zion Smith (2-55) and Jouvosier Felder (1-25).

Ferris quarterback Nathan Greek led the Yellowjacket offense by completing 27-of-his-40 passes for 415 yards and 4 touchdowns to 2 interceptions. He added 6 carries for 30 yards and a score.

Darrick Willis (senior) led all Yellowjacket receivers with nine catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
