Head coach Don Waddle and the Palmer Bulldogs have something special brewing following a big-time home win Friday against Buffalo.

The Bulldog defense shutout the Bisons in the first half and cruised home with a relatively easy 37-19 victory.

Palmer improved to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in District 7-3A with the win.

The two teams entered the game with a brief history of bad blood, too, as they had a sideline-clearing scuffle during a 7-on-7 game over the summer.

During the win, the Palmer offense amassed 380 total yards and 21 first downs, including 238 yards on the ground.

Dylan Tyree paced the Bulldogs offense with 17 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Adrian Cisneros carried the football 15 times for 92 yards and three scores.

Cisneros also completed 12-of-his-20 passes for 142 yards. He did not throw a touchdown or interception, all while completing passes to seven different wide receivers.

Ben Waddle led all Palmer receivers with three catches for 78 yards.

Carson Cisneros (3-26), Mason Carvalho (2-16), Aaron Corbett (1-12), Tyree (1-5), Gabe Bolden (1-3) and Jacob Berumen (1-1) also caught passes from Cisneros during the win.

Damian Gonzales led the Palmer defense that limited the Bison to 319 yards and 14 first downs.

Gonzales recorded 14 total tackles (9 solo), which included 2.0 tackles-for-a-loss and one sack. He also had two of the four quarterback hurries forced by the Bulldogs — one of which led to an interception hauled in by Carvalho on a Buffalo two-point attempt and returned 100 yards for two Palmer points.

Collin Graves (13), Carson Cisneros (11) and Jhonny Arreola (10) also recorded double-digit tackles for the Bulldogs.
