Ellis County Sports launches with familiar faces to lead local sports coverage

ECS staff report

*Taps the mic thrice*
Welcome to Ellis County Sports, a community-first effort to ensure our student-athletes, coaches, programs and history continue to shine as bright as ever.
These are your teams. And these are their stories.
The ever-changing media landscape has changed once again. And we cannot wait to share all that we have planned for Ellis County Sports coverage, celebrations, mentorship and more.
The faces representing ECS will all be familiar — from reporters to photogs to retired local coaches.
These individuals have been — and have the desire to remain — invested in our student-athletes, coaches, programs and communities. You’ll see them on the sidelines, hear them on podcasts and they’ll be there applauding during signing days and graduations. This isn’t going to be your grandfather’s brand of high school and collegiate sports coverage.
The re-launch will also ensure we continue our efforts to pull off the 3rd annual All-Ellis County All-Star baseball and softball games in early June. It will also reopen the door to hosting the end-of-year All-Ellis County awards gala. It’s an exciting time for local student-athletes, coaches and supports.
If you or your business is interested in becoming a sponsor of our efforts, do not hesitate to send an email to tsmith@elliscosports.com.
We hope you enjoy, support and share all that is Ellis County Sports.
