FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Palmer Bulldogs

By Travis M. Smith | KBEC Sports

Write it in stone: The Palmer Bulldogs will be in the postseason.

The Palmer Bulldogs will compete for a District 7-3A Division II championship this season, and it will largely be on the back of quarterback Adrian Cisneros and do-it-all-athlete Ben Waddle.

The former is the son of Palmer head coach Don Waddle, who returns 14 lettermen and nine total starters (five offense, four defense) from a Bulldogs team that finished as bi-district finalists with a 7-3 record (5-2 in 7-3A).

Cisneros completed 60-of-his-124 passes for 1,099 yards and 14 touchdowns to five interceptions, while also adding 229 yards and five touchdowns on 64 carries. Waddle contributed 15 receptions for 341 yards and a team-best six touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete added 124 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries
