Midlothian senior Tanner Henderson netted a hat trick Friday to lead the Panthers past Ennis.

The midfielder’s trifecta outscored the Lions in the 5-2 victory and kept Midlothian unbeaten in District 14-5A action.

Henderson scored the first-of-his-three goals on a Christian Epperson assist. He then put Midlothian ahead, 2-1, on the first Justin Barnett helper of the evening.
Shane Reasonover added a third first-half goal — this one off of a Ryan Tate assist — to send Midlothian into the half up, 3-1.

Reasonover signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Lousiana — Monroe on Wednesday, where he will serve as a placekicker on the football team.

Henderson completed his hat trick early in the second half on a Barnett assist. Barnett then provided the assist to Alex Hernandez to complete the 5-2 Midlothian win.

Henderson, meanwhile, has already signed to continue his track and cross country career at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Midlothian improved to 5-4-5 overall on the season and 2-0-2 in 14-5A action. Ennis fell to 7-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in district play.
