GALLERY: Italy football dominates Cross Roads to open 7-2A action

Italy opened District 7-2A Division I action with a convincing 42-6 victory at home against Cross Roads.

The win was the first of three for the Gladiators in district play, which helped them to a 3-3 district mark. Italy finished the season tied with Rio Vista and Kerens for third in the district standings but lost the playoff tie-breaker.

The Gladiators finished the season 4-6 overall under first-year head coach Lee Wilkins.
