GALLERY: Midlothian girls’ soccer upends Ennis in 14-5A action

The Midlothian Lady Panther soccer team continued its undefeated run through District 14-5A with a 5-1 victory at home Friday against Ennis.

Kaleigh Nazier got the Lady Panther scoring with a goal from a distance and tucked inside the upper 90. Mariah Griffin was credited with the assist.

Nazier then assisted on a Tori Sorrels goal, who then returned the favor with an assist to Griffin.

Jade Robinson (Sorrels assist) and Julian Forbes each added goals late in the 5-1 win.

Midlothian improved to 10-1-2 on the season with the win and 4-0 in 14-5A action. The Lady Panthers lone loss of the season came Jan. 3 on the road against perennial-state-power Highland Park, 2-1.

The Lady Lions fell to 2-9-2 on the season and 0-4-1 in 14-5A play with the loss.

UP NEXT

Ennis returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at home agianst Joshua, while Midlothian will face Corsicana at the same time on the road.
