The Midlothian Heritage football team recently hosted an open practice that concluded with a “back-in-my-day” game between the fathers and pep rally to kick-off the upcoming season.
The dads all tried hard and likely needed several ice packs following their touch-football game, while the actual football team, band and cheer squads looked to be in midseason form. Midlothian Heritage is entering its first year in Class 5A and will open the season at home against No. 1 and defending 4A state champion Stephenville.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Friday at Midlothian ISD Multipurpose Stadium.
