GALLERY: Peaceful BLM march held Saturday in Waxahachie

A peaceful Black Lives Matter march was held Saturday afternoon in Waxahachie. The march began just after 3 p.m. at Finley Junior High and traveled 2.8 miles south on Brown Street to the Ellis County Courthouse, where a short, prayer-filled rally was held.

Those from all walks of life were seen walking in support and the group was led by a Waxahachie Police escort. Once at the courthouse, the group focused its energies on praying for peace and understanding.
