GALLERY: Red Oak volleyball defeats Joshua in 14-5A opener

The Red Oak Lady Hawks defeated visiting Joshua in straight sets to open the District 14-5A season on Friday, Sept. 13.

Hailey Hunt led the team with 12 kills, while Megan O’Neal and Zanobia Willis each had seven. Katelyn Malone added five kills and a team-high five blocks in the 25-6, 25-7, 25-17 victory.

Ellie Davis recorded a team-best five aces and Hunt added three. Davis also led the Lady Hawks with 17 digs, followed closely by the eight recorded by Abbie Pevehouse.

Carley Rushing and Makinzie Taplin each had 16 assists.
