The Press Box: Ep. 8 (Dec. 23, 2019): Football standouts talk NLI signings

This week’s episode of The Press Box featured two in-studio interviews with recent Division I football signees plus a recap of the Texas high school football state championships and the ongoing basketball season.

Hosts Brian Stevens and Seth Sims first spoke with brothers and Waxahachie standout wide receivers Josh and Jerreth Sterns. Josh signed his National Letter of Intent this past week to continue his football career at Houston Baptist University, where Jerreth is a sophomore and has already made quite the splash.

Red Oak senior Coby Cavil is pictured inside the KBEC studio after appearing on KBEC Sports’ The Press Box to talk about his NLI signing with the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

The show then featured an in-depth talk with Red Oak all-everything wide receiver Coby Cavil, who signed his NLI with the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

The Press Box airs weekly on Monday from 6-7 p.m. on KBEC 1390AM/99.1FM, as well as on KBEC.com, sports.KBEC.com and on the KBEC app available in both the Google Play and Apple app stores. The show features recaps of the week that was, interviews with coaches and KBEC Sports Players of the Week, as well as special guests and previews for the week ahead.

The Press Box is presented by Dr. Roux and McSpadden with Waxahachie Orthopedics and the Stevens Team with Legacy Realty Group.
