The Press Box: Waxahachie soccer talks stoppage: Ep. 23 (April 6, 2020)

This week’s episode of “The Press Box” featured conversations with five members of the Waxahachie boys’ soccer team amid the COVID-19 stoppage. 

On-air hosts Seth Sims and Brian Stevens first spoke with Waxahachie head boys’ soccer coach Seth Riley and striker Emmanuel Nwonkonko about his journey from Ireland to Waxahachie. The group was then joined by seniors Jordan Beechum, Joshua Redding and Mark McLachlan.

The Press Box airs weekly on Monday from 6-7 p.m. on KBEC 1390AM/99.1FM, as well as on KBEC.com, sports.KBEC.com and on the KBEC app available in both the Google Play and Apple app stores. The show features recaps of the week that was, interviews with coaches and KBEC Sports Players of the Week, as well as special guests and previews for the week ahead.
