Campbell Sullivan - Waxahachie - The Waxahachie senior quarterback put together quite the gutty effort Friday night during a come-from-behind 53-46 victory against Mesquite Poteet. Sullivan accounted for 451 total yards and six touchdowns during the win. He finished the game 23-for-34 through the air for 323 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding 14 carries for 128 yards and one score.
CJ Palmer - Red Oak - Palmer, a senior running back for Red Oak, carried the football 16 times for 257 yards for three touchdowns and a whopping 16.1 yards-per-carry average. The Hawks defeated Princeton 77-48 in the KBEC Sports Game of the Week.
Rhett Newton - Avalon - The senior accounted for four total touchdowns: One passing, rushing, receiving and on a kick return. He totaled 368 yards in the Avalon Eagles 79-32 victory against No. 6 Iredell.
Laylon Spencer - Ennis - Spencer caught two first-half touchdowns on passes of 77 and 80 yards to help the Ennis Lions build a halftime lead against Bishop Lynch. He also added a second-half score to finish with eight catches for 311 yards and three touchdowns in the Lions 41-34 loss.

Thank you for the player of the week spotlight, it just seems a lopsided having a kid from a 6 man football team compete against big schools.

  Hi Tonya, there is no perfect way to run this poll but we are open to suggestions. There is a large discrepancy between our larger-population schools and the smaller ones, all while not having enough 2-3A programs to warrant a big school player of the week and a small school player of the week.
