Grant Hamby (Maypearl) -- Hamby scored on a 51-yard and 16-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to pull the Maypearl Panthers withing the 39-29 against Fort Worth Christian on Friday. Hamby ended the game with 181 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.
Christian May (Life Waxahachie) -- Life Waxahachie running back Christian May finished the Mustangs 48-7 non-district win against Nevada Community with eight carries for 105 yards and three touchdowns. May got the scoring party started with a 67-yard touchdown run on the first play of the Mustangs second possession. He also scored a 2-yard (8:18, 2Q) and 12-yard touchdown (2:56, 2Q).
CJ Palmer (Red Oak) -- Palmer had himself quite the game for Red Oak in an upset of reigning District 6-5A champion No. 8 South Oak Cliff. The senior running back carried the football a game-high 22 times for 117 and two touchdowns. His yardage total accounted for 62.6% of the 187 total yards gained by the Hawks during the win. Palmer scored on rushes of 55 and 1 yards, respectively. This marks the second time for Palmer to be nominated for the KBEC Sports Player of the Week.
Jay Wilkerson (Midlothian Heritage) -- Heritage senior Jay Wilkerson finally posted his breakout game of the 2019 season, hauling in five passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Wilkerson, who holds several Division-I Power 5 offers, caught touchdown passes of 67, 47 and 65 yards in the second half to pull the Jaguars within one possession, 29-26 with 11:47 to play in the fourth quarter. Heritage went on to complete the comeback with a score late in the game for the 33-29 victory.
