You choose: What traits, experience are most important in a high school head football coach?

As the coaching search continues in Waxahachie and the pool has dwindled from over 120 applicants to four finalists, KBEC Sports is curious — what do you want to see in a head football coach? And not just in Waxahachie, but in any high school football program.

The Waxahachie coaching search tentatively plans to conclude with a committee recommendation during the closed session of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Waxahachie ISD Board of Trustees on Monday, Feb. 8. The trustees would then reopen the meeting to vote on the new head football coach, who will replace Todd Alexander after his three-year stint leading the Indians in Class 6A.

Tune-in to KBEC 1390AM/99.1FM from 6-7 p.m. Monday night to hear from Waxahachie ISD athletic director Greg Reed on the search, as well as insight from “The Voice of the Indians” Ken Roberts, longtime Waxahachie QBC president Chad Hicks and more.
